The mining area includes three connected regions, namely, western Hebei, southern Shanxi and northern Henan. The produced strata and lithology are mostly carbonate rocks of the Cambrian and Ordovician. Secondly, barite deposits are also found in the strata of the ancient Yufuping Group, the Paleoproterozoic group of the Jiajiashan Formation, the Neoproterozoic Sinian, and the Upper Permian. Most of the barite deposits are filled in structural fissures. The occurrence, morphology, scale, and distribution of ore bodies depend on the occurrence, morphology, and scale of structural fissures and the arrangement of the fracture system. Although the Precambrian and Yanshanian invasion activities are strong in the mining area. The investigation has no direct relationship with the formation of barite ore bodies.

The barite ore deposits in the ore gathering area of the barite manufacturer are all small-scale, and the degree of geological work is not high. For example, in northern Henan, only the census evaluation of the Dachishan barite deposit in Ji County was conducted, and no barite deposits such as Qi County and Hui County were carried out. Another example is the barite deposits (spots) in Yicheng, Fushan, Xia County, Pinglu and other counties around Zhongtiao Mountain in Jinnan. Only a few of them, including Sanlang Mountain and Sanfeng Temple, have been surveyed. The ore-controlling stratigraphic rock series are mainly Cambrian-Ordovician carbonate rocks, which are distributed in an irregular band along the Taihang Mountains from Zhongtiao Mountain. With layer control, the Ordovician in Wuyuan County, Hebei also produces sedimentary barite deposits. Secondly, Taikooyu is widely distributed. It produces small vein-like barite deposits in Taikooyu in Xingtai and other places in western Hebei. Other strata have also been found from time to time. At present, the proven reserves are only 1.5 million tons, and the estimated total amount of barite resources is more than 5 million tons.
