China's Guizhou is rich in barite resources, and its reserves and output rank first in the world. It is also the world's largest exporter of barite and occupies an important position in the international market. There are 195 mining areas with proven reserves, with a total identified resource reserve of 390 million tons of ore, of which Guizhou Province has more barite ore, and its reserves account for 34% of the country; Hunan, Guangxi, Gansu, Shaanxi and other provinces (regions) Secondly, the reserves of the above five provinces account for 80% of the country.
At present, China has eight major barite clusters: Qiandong-Xiangxi-Northern Guizhou sedimentary barite cluster, Gannan-Shaanxi South-North Hubei sedimentary barite cluster, Southwest Hubei-Southeast Sichuan -Qianzhong stratified (endogenous) barite cluster, Xingtai-Yixian-Yuncheng stratified (endogenous) barite cluster, Anqiu-Lintong-Hanshan hydrothermal barite mine Area, southwest Fujian sedimentary barite mine area, Guiyue hydrothermal barite mine area, Xitieshan-Jingtieshan-Qingtongxia volcano-sedimentary barite mine area.
